If you want to make a difference to the well-being of older people living at St Andrews, an Enliven care home, then this Careworker position will be of interest to you.
This is a casual position covering staff on leave. You could be working morning, afternoon or night nights.
In this role you would be supporting the lives of those living in hospital level residential care by providing high quality care to them.
Experience working with people requiring hospital level care or dementia rest home care would be an advantage.
Applicants who hold the National Certificate in Community Support Services, Foundation Skills or Core Competencies Level 3, or the Dementia Limited Credit Programme would have an advantage. It is expected that careworkers without a formal qualification will undertake study towards this while working at St Andrews and we will help you with this.
An Enliven home, St Andrews has 78 residents who are supported at hospital, rest home and dementia level of care. It’s a home integral to the community and all of Presbyterian Support Otago Enliven homes have 4 year certification. That istestament to the quality of our systems, processes, living and working environments – and especially our staff.
Presbyterian Support Otago is a major provider of health & social services to the people of Otago. We employ in excess of 700 and are supported by over 500 volunteers. We’re central to the communities in which we provide services and your role is central to all we do.
Only those people with a legal right to work in NZ should apply. If you aren’t a permanent NZ resident, you must already have the right to work in NZ because the hours in this role are irregular, and they will not be sufficient to meet requirements for a work visa.
