Activity Co-ordinators - Iona, Oamaru

If you have a great sense of humour along with a passion for helping older people enjoy their day, this could be for you.

You will be working with individual residents on activities of their choosing, and organising group activities. Engaging with residents in social activities and working in a supportive team environment makes this an attractive position. You will also co-ordinate and work with our lovely volunteer team.

You need to be responsive to the changing needs that reflect our Valuing Lives philosophy of care at Iona.

We are advertising for the following positions:

Position 1 – Permanent Part Time:
You will work 6 hours per week in our Mackay (Dementia) Home
Friday starting at 2.30pm and finishing at 5.30pm
Saturday starting at 1.15pm and finishing at 4.15pm

Position 2 - Casual:
Casual staff are required to work variable hours to cover staff on annual leave and sickness.



An Enliven home, Iona has 78 residents who are supported at hospital and rest home level of care. It’s a home integral to the community and one of 8 Presbyterian Support Otago Enliven homes to have 4 year certification. That is testament to the quality of our systems, processes, living and working environments – and especially our staff.
