We are looking for a permanent relieving careworker and a casual careworker.
The permanent reliever position is to cover staff on leave. Days and hours will be discussed at interview as the shifts will vary.
The casual position requires a degree of flexibility as you could be working morning, afternoon or night shifts.
In this role you will be supporting people receiving hospital level and rest home dementia level support. Therefore someone with experience and who has the ability and willingness to work across all areas will be preferred.
Applicants who hold the National Certificate in Community Support Services, Foundation Skills or Core Competencies Level 3, or the Dementia Limited Credit Programme would have an advantage. It is expected that care workers without a formal qualification will undertake study towards this while working at St Andrews and we will help you with this.
An Enliven home, St Andrews has 78 residents who are supported at hospital, rest home and dementia level of care. It’s a home integral to the community and 7 of our 8 Presbyterian Support Otago Enliven homes have 4 year certification.
