Mani Malloy-Sharplin

Mani joined the PSO Board in October 2023.

Mani’s whakapapa grounds him to the iwi of Te Waipounamu – Rapuwai, Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe, Kāi Tahu. He was raised in Tauranga before moving to Te Waipounamu (Waitati) two years ago with his hoa Rangatira (wife) four tamariki.

Mani is a registered social worker with a broad range of experience in Kaupapa Māori mental health, youth and the justice system. His current role is Executive Officer of Te Hā o Maru Health and Social Services.

His passion sits with creating whānau-focused, culturally responsive, accessible, and equitable services for the betterment of all who live in the Ngāi Tahu takiwā (district).

Mani sits on the Southern Primary Health Care Research Governance Group and is a director for Ngā Tangata o te Moananui.
