Presbyterian Support, together with Save the Children, UNICEF NZ, Child Poverty Action Network, Barnardos and CCS Disability Action (to name just a few) have joined forces to promote a campaign showing which political parties have policies that support and promote issues affecting tamariki.
The campaign, known as Tick 4 Kids, includes scorecards for eight areas – care and protection, climate change, education, housing, health and wellbeing, inclusion, incomes and youth justice. Seven political parties (Act, Green, Labour, National, TOP, Māori and NZ First) were asked to complete a survey and based on their responses, each scorecard shows how those parties have incorporated the areas into their policies. The scorecards are an illustration of what each political party will do to support tamariki through their various policies. More information about the campaign can be found at www.tick4kids.flt.nz.
