Filling our foodbank for Otago families in need.
Our foodbank has experienced demand like never before. With financial stress due to the increasing cost of living, we are seeing large numbers of new families becoming vulnerable and experiencing hardship for the first time.

Our foodbank is experiencing high demand but also low supply, as community donations of food items are down due to the cost of living crisis. We need your help now to fill the foodbank and keep up with demand.
Our foodbank is the busiest in Dunedin and supports the wider Otago region. Up to 400 food parcels are distributed each month, including over 15,000 items, with more than 200 children benefiting. The foodbank is an integral part of the wrap-around services Family Works provides across the Otago region.
Where we can, our social workers and financial mentors work to help people get back on their feet, as the Family Works wrap-around services help with more than just food.

We are also very grateful for all donations of non-perishable food, these can be dropped off to our Support Centre on Level 1, 407 Moray Place, Dunedin, Monday to Friday 8.30am till 5pm (except public holidays). Your help is greatly appreciated.
