Help us sew reusable food bags

Join the PSO Seam Team – help us sew reusable food bags for the foodbank!

Presbyterian Support Otago runs the busiest foodbank in Dunedin, and the demand for our emergency food parcels has been growing. Unfortunately, we’ve had to rely on single-use bags, which often break and can't be reused. That’s why we’re working on a sustainable solution—creating our own reusable food bags.

We are looking for sewing volunteers to make our reusable bags! We’ve teamed up with Dunedin Curtain Bank who are supplying us with strong fabric and a great pattern – but we need more hands to help sew them.

If you love sewing and want to support your community, we’d love your help. Every bag you sew helps families in need and reduces waste.
