Part time volunteer roles in Communications and Marketing team

Do you have some fancy design skills?

If so, we have the ultimate opportunity for you! We are looking for someone to assist us with the design and layout of some of our key publications. These are produced and distributed to our community of staff and supporters, which number over 6,500 people. Imaging putting your name to something with that coverage? Read on…

We are looking for a volunteer who is proficient using the Adobe Creative Suite (or similar) and has a flair for creativity but can also work within established brand guidelines.

You will work with the Communications & Marketing Manager on the design and layout of our 2017 Annual Report. You will also work on the layout of content for regular publications using established In-Design templates (though we are always open to new suggestions) and other occasional creative opportunities.

We expect there will be 15 - 20 hours of design work each month (an average of 4 hours a week), with some weeks being busier, depending on deadlines. We are keen to work with someone who is able to volunteer until the end of the student year.

You’ll get work as part of a fun team and in return for this, your name will be on some of our work and be provided with a reference that’ll really set you apart from others.

If this sounds like you get in touch with us today. The position will be filled when the right person is found, so don’t wait or you may miss out!

Do you see a story in almost every interaction you have?

If you do then we have an ideal opportunity for you to put your skills to the test. We are looking for a student who can create stories full of flair and flavour for key publications and our website. The stories will be seen by our community of staff and supporters, which number over 6,500 people.

We are after someone who can turn a conversation or some notes into a story that paints a picture and captures the reader’s attention. You’d be conducting phone interviews and at times will be asked to go to various PSO locations for interviews and to take photographs.

You will work with the Communications & Marketing Manager and most weeks there will be a couple of stories to put together. We expect this will be around 4 hours of activity each. Some weeks may be busier than others, depending on deadlines.

You’ll get work as part of a fun team. In return for this your name will be on some of our work and we’ll provide a reference that’ll reflect the work you’ve done.

If this sounds like you, get in touch with us today. The position will be filled when the right person is found, so don’t wait or you may miss out!
