Jo Rowe started as our new Chief Executive Officer on 2 September.
Prior to joining us, Jo was CEO at Mornington Health Centre in Dunedin and has 20 years of experience in senior roles in the health industry, in New Zealand and the UK.
Jo is a Registered Nurse and has been involved with the Alzheimers Society at both a local and national level.
Presbyterian Support Otago Board Chair Tim Mepham said “The Board were impressed with the experience, energy and strategic thinking that Jo demonstrated, along with her desire to pursue personal development in herself and others. We are very pleased to have Jo join us and lead the organisation forward.”
In introducing herself Jo writes, “I am a mum of four, ranging in ages from nine to 21 and am married to Jason, a Corrections Officer. I love to run full and half marathons and am an avid reader and researcher.”
“As a Christian I have been privileged to work and volunteer through the years for several organisations who provide care to members of the community in need. This is an important part of who I am, and it drives my energy and enthusiasm for transformation in our social environment.”
Jo’s initial focus will be travelling around the community meeting people, and listening to everyone involved with, working for, or supporting our organisation in some way, about their hopes and desires for the future.
Welcome to Presbyterian Support Otago, Jo. We look forward to our journey together with you.
