The Presbyterian Support Otago Board is very pleased to announce that Joanne Rowe has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for the organisation.
Jo has been CEO at Mornington Health Centre and will start with us on Monday, 2 September 2019.
Jo has 20 years of experience in senior roles in the health industry, in New Zealand and the UK. She is a Registered Nurse and has been involved with the Alzheimers Society at both a local and national level.
Tim Mepham, PSO Board Chair said, “The Board were impressed with the experience, energy and strategic thinking that Jo demonstrated, along with her desire to pursue personal development in herself and others. We are very pleased to have Jo join PSO and lead the organisation forward.”
In introducing herself, Jo writes, “I am a mum of four, ranging in ages from 9 to 21 and am married to Jason, a Corrections Officer. I love to run full and half marathons and am an avid reader and researcher.”
“As a Christian I have been privileged to work and volunteer through the years for several organisations who provide care to members of the community in need. This is an important part of who I am, and it drives my energy and enthusiasm for transformation in our social environment.”
Jo’s initial focus will be travelling around the community meeting people, and listening to everyone involved with, working for, or supporting Presbyterian Support Otago in some way about their hopes and desires for the organisation.
