Christmas is for teenagers too! Give a vulnerable teenager the chance to go to the movies this summer and feel like a regular kid.
We all know teenagers are hard to buy for. Presbyterian Support Otago has partnered up with Rialto Cinemas Dunedin for the Movies for Teens campaign this Christmas.
Social workers have said ‘in families facing financial hardship, teenagers often feel left out of the Christmas festivities, with attention focussed on younger siblings’.
Presbyterian Support Otago will provide over 200 families with a food and gift hamper this Christmas, many of them with teenagers.
Help us buy movie tickets to give to teenagers who may have little else to look forward to this Christmas.
Your $10 donation will help a young person join in when invited out by friends, or even initiate a movie outing in the holidays. This is the third annual Movies for Teens and we have seen the positive effects the campaign has on vulnerable teens.
Social workers have said ‘we have seen social empowerment and inclusion as teenagers are getting entry into all those conversations that happen after the holidays about the latest blockbuster’.

100% of funds will be used to puchase Rialto Cinemas Dunedin Tickets. Tickets will be distributed by Presbyterian Support Otago/Family Works to Dunedin teenages whos parents are living under finacial strain.
