Dementia Mate Wareware Home Share is a small, personalised group environment where a person with dementia mate wareware can enjoy companionship and activities close to home one day a week.
Our programmes provide activities and social interaction in a small group environment, recognising the special needs of those with cognitive impairment/dementia mate wareware.
Our Home Share programme is a collaborative initiative that brings together a network of providers and agencies across Te Waipounamu, with a shared commitment to enhancing the life of a person with mate wareware and their whānau.
Central to the programme is:
Whānau Involvement: Encouraging family participation in care and support.
Holistic Care: Addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Kaumātua Support: Guidance and wisdom from our elders.
Self-determination: A range of activities appropriate to the needs and interests of those within the group.
