EnergyMate
Some Kiwis struggle to pay their power bill or heat their home. EnergyMate is a free in-home energy coaching service for households at risk of energy hardship that are struggling to pay their power bill or keep their home warm, this is offered through a partnership between electricity retailers, lines companies, community organisations, and government.
During the in-home visit, our EnergyMate coaches will help your household get on the power plan that best suits your needs, give advice on heating your home and using appliances efficiently. We can help you make the most of your electricity and break down everything you need to know about your home and appliances, electricity use, and power bill. Our coaches also deliver three free LED lightbulbs for instant power savings.
