What: Meals on Wheels delivery driver, deliver meals to 4 residential addresses.
When: 1 - 2 hours from 11:50am, Tuesday - Friday (daily, or weekly depending on your availability).
Where: meals collected from Holmdene, 15-17 Elizabeth Street, Balclutha.
Holmdene aged care home is an Enliven aged care home, and they prepare healthy and delicious meals for elderly to enable them to maintain an independent lifestyle. Volunteers are required to collect 4 meals from Holmdene and safely deliver to four homes in Balclutha.

Supporting these individuals in a simple, practical way is a wonderfully rewarding experience. Sharing just a little bit of your time can make their day, and it might just make yours too. Be prepared for 'helper's high' as your volunteering can lead to a rush of euphoria and the release of endorphins!
You must be friendly, reliable, trustworthy and have good communication skills.
Volunteers need to have a full, clean and current drivers license.
Volunteers should have a natural interest in older people, have patience, a caring and respectful attitude and be happy working as part of a team.
As you will be visiting the 'Home' of elderly people we take great care in who our volunteers are. All of our volunteers need to complete a Police Check and provide references. All volunteers will receive appropriate training and supervision for their role and will be required to sign a Code of Conduct.
