When: 10am - 3pm Thursday. Weekly, monthly or six weekly as part of a roster of volunteers.

Assist with activities, You can be involved in a variety of ways to suit your skills, talents and interests.
You will be an extra set of hands for our Club Enliven activities staff, helping on van outings and with the days activities. Club Enliven offers respite care and social engagement for older people living in their own homes.
Volunteers help older people maintain their social networks and build new connections and friendships.
No two days are the same. Time goes very fast and the happy smiles of residents will be your number one reward. Be ready to experience ‘helpers high’. Volunteering can lead to a rush of euphoria and the release of endorphins. This effect is known as ‘helper’s high’!
Club Enliven, Alexandra is located at Ranui Residential aged care home. Club Enliven enriches the lives of participants, maintaining and sometimes improving mental and physical health, as well as offering respite for caregivers. Volunteers may be able to assist with transport to and from the Club if required.
You must be friendly, reliable, trustworthy and have good communication skills.
Volunteers need to be physically capable of pushing wheelchairs and assisting with moving furniture like chairs so residents can access and participate in activities.
Volunteers should have a natural interest in older people, have patience, a caring and respectful attitude and be happy working as part of a team.
As you will be stepping into the 'Home' of elderly people we take great care in who our volunteers are. All of our volunteers need to complete a Police Check and provide references. All volunteers will receive appropriate training and supervision for their role and will be required to sign a Code of Conduct.
