What would you do?

Behind the scenes of the bustling Shop on Carroll, there is a busy warehouse that supplies our two social enterprises, Shop on Carroll and Shop Online preloved treasures.

Volunteers help sort the wide variety of interesting items that get donated. From buttons and books, clothes and shoes, retro, vintage collectables and everything in-between. If you've got a unique interest or hobby, great we can use your expertise. The warehouse is fast-paced and fun, you will be surrounded by enthusiastic volunteers and staff who make it a great place to be.

This role is perfect for people who have a good eye for quality and collectables. Don't have 'the eye', that is ok there are lots of jobs to be done.

Profits from Shop On sales go back into the Otago community, helping to support the various Family Works services and programmes we offer. For this reason we do not offer staff or volunteer discounts. Sale items are placed out in the shop for customers to purchase for a set amount of time before staff and volunteers have the opportunity to make a purchase.

Both our shops are vital pieces of the financial sustainability puzzle for PSO as a charity, as well as knitting our local Dunedin community together, and keeping gently used clothing and retro gems out of landfill.
